small Region B school, denied request to change districts, withdraws football and basketball programs from VHSL.

LOL in Region D they would be Div 2 in basketball and have to apeal to drop to Div 1 via the RC rule

I HOPE that if a few more schools from outside SWVA start pushing for change we could see a 4 or 5 A system in a few years......probably to much to hope for though [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif[/img]

The only thing I disagree with in that article is she says a large number of athletes are needed for basketball. It was 5-on-5 last time I checked.

Rapp do a name change? I was thinking when we beat them for the state title in baseball in 98,they weren't the Panthers,they were the Red Raiders (if I remember it right).

Stuff like that is gonna keep happenin as long as they keep lettin the big schools play down, under the classifications we have now

Rapp. Co. is in Washington, Va - nearish Manassas, in Reg. B.
Rapp. is on the coast - plays with Lancaster, Chincoteague, etc.

Kinda like Buchanan is in Reg. C - James River H.S.
